Meet the Team

Adam has been at The Aston since we opened the doors back in June 2010 and is now in charge!  His mission along with Ruth, Helena and Arran is to make the pub the centre of the community.  If you have any ideas just speak to him next time you’re in, he will be happy to listen.

Ruth is the big bosses mum so is the only one that ever tells him off!  She loves walking and playing bridge. She’s also very handy with the sewing machine and made all the curtains at The Aston!

Helena has been with us from the beginning! She used to play rugby and has the untidiest bedroom in the World.  She used to be a vegetarian but being around all this yummy food has converted her!

What ever you do, don’t call Rebecca, Becky, she hates it! Rebecca’s passion is horses, she can never stay for a drink after work because she has to put them to bed and read them a bedtime story.  Well that’s her excuse anyway!

Arran is the man responsible for our kitchen and menu’s so we look after him!  We always make sure he’s got a pint of Peroni waiting at the end of the bar after a busy shift.

Ellie is always smiling and can normally be found propping up a wall somewhere, it’s an important job and Ellie takes the task very seriously!  She recently passed her driving test first time and we are all very proud of her!

We can’t get rid of Smudge (not that we want to!).  He’s been here since before the pub became The Aston.  He teaches kids to play football when he’s not behind the bar.  He also has a very dodgy  dress sense, ask him about his rolled up skinny jeans!
